Villa Caiano Surroundings

Luxury Villa Caiano is in the very center of many places and activities happening in our beautiful region Tuscany. Apart from enjoying our countryside, with beautiful woods, vineyards and olive groves covering our fields, you can enjoy many other activities.

We have gathered in the following:

The Chianti area in Tuscany is one of the most beautiful in the whole world, as well as the most well-known and loved by tourists from all over the world. Chianti region goes from the provinces of Florence and Siena, including all of the areas between the two cities and extending to the Valdarno and to the Val d'Elsa. The Chianti vineyards area extends further beyond the two cities, all around Florence and even toward Arezzo and Montepulciano. Territory Chianti offers a very special panorama: wide fields of vineyards and olive groves, medieval villages, characteristic churches and typical countryside tuscan houses. The Chianti landscapes are so beautiful and special that they have inspired many artists which then become famous across the world.

The Casentino Valley located approximately 50 km to the east of Florence, is rich with history, art, good food and natural beauties . This valley offers opportunities for tourists of all ages and kinds: you can go walking in the wild, visit medieval castles, taste authentic recipes and discovering many of the secrets from this area. Places to see: the castles of Poppi, Romena and Porciano, the Franciscan sanctuary of La Verna, the monastery of Camaldoli, the zoo in Poppi and the small towns of Stia, Pratovecchio and Castel San Niccolò.

A few kilometres from Florence stretches the territory of the Mugello. Beautiful countryside and friendly people, amazing food, luxurious and the historical villas.. You can all find them just outside Florence. The Medici family came from this land and had palaces, castles and convents built here. In the villa of Cafaggiolo, Lorenzo Magnifico escaped from the "res pubblica" to take refuge in the peaceful fields. Mugello has a long-living traditional gastronomy well appreciated by visitors and locals as well. In this area you can taste the traditional tortelli del Mugello, or you can learn how to cook them at luxury villa in Tuscany Villa Caiano(link).

The Rufina area in Tuscany is a beautiful countryside with vineyard fields and woods that extends just outside the our small town Londa. Tourists and locals visit Rufina for many reasons: excursions to the main castles and ancient medicean residences, old farmhouses and traditional italian villas. These are among the many reasons to visit Rufina. Another very popular reason is, of course, the food. Rufina hosts many food festivals that are called “sagra”, which is a mono-food based festival. You can find every kind of recipe when these happen and taste the real food made and enjoyed by the locals as well. Here at Villa Caiano we care about fitting in and respecting the environment around us. This means also correctly representing our area in its best qualities.
